On feb16th I had to let my 10yr old cow Dory go due to a winter incident 6wks after on April 2nd I would reluctantly say an unexpected goodbye to my Cricket cat at 11yrs old from hyperthyroidism. They were both very special to me and the close together losses sent me into a downward spiral that I'm still processing. I've battled anticipatory grief for my 14yr old girl Lilo for over a year. Shes doing well but I'm terrified of having her time to transition arrive. Shes my soulmate and life without her is unfathomable to my heart and mind❤️🙏

What you’re feeling with Lilo makes sense too, anticipatory grief comes from loving someone that deeply. It doesn’t take away the fact that she’s here with you right now, still doing well, still sharing life with you.
You don’t have to carry the future today. Just being with her in this moment is already everything to her and you🤍
