She still eats well and is okay physically, but at night she turns into a chaos gremlin that won't sleep, paces, pants, and keeps me up all night. I've tried several different medications to get her to sleep at night, but nothing works. I'm exhausted and at my wits end. I hate that I have to kill my dog to be able to get some sleep, but I don't know what else to do.

Please be gentle with yourself, you are not considering this because you’re tired or because you don’t care. You’re exhausted because you do care, and you’ve been trying so hard to support her through this stage. Sometimes the hardest part of loving them is recognizing when their needs and quality of life are changing.
